Early Learning Program

Core Beliefs We recognize that: Parents are the first and most important teachers in the child's life, and as such are valued partners in the Pre-Kindergarten experience. Positive early learning experiences enhance the development of skills that will prepare children for later learning. A nurturing environment assists children in their development of positive relationships with peers and adults. Developmentally appropriate activities enable children to grow spiritually, socially, emotionally, creatively, physically, and cognitively. Coordinated community services meet the needs of young children and their families. What Makes Holy Spirit Catholic Schools' Pre-Kindergarten Unique? Holy Spirit Pre-Kindergarten programs provide a warm, caring environment which leads children in their faith journey through an understanding of the love of God. We create an atmosphere of joy and happiness which provides each child with a sense of belonging. Pre-Kindergarten programs are an important component within the school community. Children are involved with school events such as assemblies and liturgical celebrations. Pre-Kindergarten Leaders, under the direction of our Early Learning Coordinator, Speech-Language Pathologists, and Psychologist provide developmentally appropriate play-based experiences designed to prepare children for Kindergarten. Programs are designed to provide children with a seamless entry to Kindergarten.
